2014 REFIT
(Invoices totaling over $61,700 can be made available to a buyer under contract while performing due diligence.)


  • Remove wood lazarette locker hatch cover, replace with fiberglass and new teak decking, remove and replace with fiberglass all wood damaged by inadequate drainage (CGMW)
  • Remove lazarette hatch cover drainage gutters, replace with deeper fiberglass drainage gutters (CGMW)
  • All topsides bright work stripped to bare wood and re varnished with Epifanes Wood Finish Gloss (8 coats) (CGMW)

Standing Rigging

  • All new standing rigging, including wire, terminals and turnbuckles (PT Rigging)
  • All new lifelines including all terminals, gates, pelican hooks, etc (uncoated wire) (PT Rigging)
  • New bobstay whisker stays (PT Rigging)
  • All new in mast electrical for lighting and instrumentation (PT Rigging)
  • New aluminum mast step fabricated, welded and installed (CGMW)
  • New Forespar deck, bow and side lights
  • New Shakespeare VHF antenna
  • New LED Anchor light


  • New exhaust elbow and heat exchanger fabricated and installed (Pat’s Marine Engine - PME)
  • New Hurth transmission and flex plate installed (PME)
  • New aluminum housing for heat exchanger fabricated and installed (PME)
  • All new cooling system hoses (PME)
  • Complete service, tune up, all new filters, fluids, etc. (PME)
  • Reinstall injector line bracket (PME)
  • Shift linkage adjusted (PME)


  • Trailing edge protector of dodger removed and replaced with new


  • Old marine head, holding tank and associated plumbing and thru hull all removed (CGMW)
  • New Nature’s Head composting toilet installed with custom fabricated stainless steel hinging foot rest (CGMW)


  • Old bottom paint stripped to gel coat (BUMS)
  • Osmotic blistering (these were superficial, not structural) ground out and filled with vinyl ester filler on hull and rudder (CGMW)
  • New bottom paint applied (BUMS)
  • Hull above waterline cleaned and waxed (BUMS)
  • Unused thru hulls deleted (CGMW)
  • Ball valves at thru hulls replaced with Groco bronze seacocks (CGMW)
  • Groco Safety Seacock adaptor installed at thru hull in bilge (allows engine to pump water out of bilge in an emergency, through the fresh water cooling system) (CGMW)
  • Mid ship stainless deck cleats added
  • New bronze bobstay fitting fabricated and installed (CGMW)
  • Cockpit seat/deck drains installed (CGMW)
  • Freeman commercial grade access hatch installed in cockpit floor for improved access to engine room. Teak cockpit floor grate modified to suit. (CGMW)


  • All old electronic instruments removed
  • All new Raymarine instruments installed (CGMW) including:
    • i50 Tri Data with bronze transducers
    • i60 Wind System
    • EV-100 P70 Tiller pilot
    • Seatalk backbone

Interior/Below Deck

  • Lighting fitted with LED bulbs where ever possible
  • Water tank cleanouts added and tanks sanitized (CGMW)
  • Groco bronze deck wash pump installed (CGMW)
  • Start battery shelf fabricated and installed with securing strap


  • Whale Gusher Titan Bilge pump installed in cockpit


2007 REFIT

  • bow2‘Bulwarks job’ – one of the Achilles’ heels of the CG36 was the design of the bulwarks. These were originally made out of wood and generally had water penetration with subsequent loss of integrity. CGMW removed the old wood bulwarks along with any/all associated damaged wood, replaced any damaged wood in the sub structure, then fabricated and installed in place all new fiberglass bulwarks.
  • Old bowsprit removed, new bowsprit constructed and installed
  • Repaint of cabin trunk
  • Lewmar 185TT, 6.0kw bow thruster installed with wired hand held remote control (CGMW)
